Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved

Download libraries | Maroon 5 - She Will Be Loved | Adam Levine reaches out to a disheartened young woman in the staunch ballad “She Will Be Loved.” A gentle guitar opens the single, setting a fond tone. In the first verse, he says she’s a pretty young woman, even if she doesn’t believe it. After her father died, her life was never the same. Her mother became angry and lashed out at her. He would be sit on her porch, talking to her or sit in silence as she drew. Each time he would be ready to tell her he liked her; she would be dating another guy. He realized he loved her after he drove around the city, crying. He returned home, wanting to talk it through with her. He’s fantasized kissing her and holding her in his arms. It’s as strong and enticing as the first.
“Beauty queen of only eighteen/She had some trouble with herself/He was always there to help her/She always belonged to someone else/I drove for miles and miles/And wound up at your door/I've had you so many times but somehow/I want more.”

In the chorus, he says he will sit with her through any kind of weather and be with her. He notices her by her half smile that is melancholy yet welcoming. He inquires if she wants him to stay with her and each time she says yes. With him by her side, she will have someone who will care for her.
“I don't mind spending everyday/Out on your corner in the pouring rain/Look for the girl with the broken smile/Ask her if she wants to stay awhile/And she will be loved/She will be loved.”

In the second verse, he says she can contact him anytime at his house. He will listen to her and make her feel special. He stumbles upon his words and has weird gestures sometimes when he’s with her. However, she realizes it’s a part of him and doesn’t even notice it anymore. He reassures that life isn’t a smooth a road. It has bumps. They will argue, but they will discuss their differences and resolve them. Their friendship thrives on communication and trust. He says she has a place inside his home, even after a fight.
“ Tap on my window knock on my door/I want to make you feel beautiful/I know I tend to get so insecure/It doesn't matter anymore/It's not always rainbows and butterflies/It's compromise that moves us along, yeah/My heart is full and my door's always open/You can come anytime you want.”

The second chorus is sung again.
“I don't mind spending everyday/Out on your corner in the pouring rain/Look for the girl with the broken smile/Ask her if she wants to stay awhile/And she will be loved/And she will be loved/And she will be loved/And she will be loved.”

In the bridge, he knows where to look for her if she’s upset. He will knock on her car window and she will let him in. He knows what heartbreaks hurt her the most, the mistakes she regrets, and the chances she wished she had. She’s told him, out of pain, she wants him out her life and nothing to do with him. However, she will seek him out if she’s having problems. She depends on him to save her from destroying herself.
“I know where you hide/Alone in your car/Know all of the things that make you who you are/I know that goodbye means nothing at all/Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls.”

The first part of the second verse is sung again.
“Tap on my window knock on my door/I want to make you feel beautiful.”

The second chorus is sung again.

In the final section, he urges her to not shut him out.
“Please don't try so hard to say goodbye/Please don't try so hard to say goodbye/Yeah/I don't mind spending everyday/Out on your corner in the pouring rain/Try so hard to say goodbye.”

Levine was curious about her. He would see her, walking to class by herself. She didn’t speak much to anyone. In the classes they shared together, she would draw. Eventually, he would say “hello” to her and she would smile back. Then, they would talk about their teachers and homework. Later in the year, she began opening up to him and let him join her for lunch. He loves her and would like a romantic relationship between them, but he knows it’s not possible. He rather be with her when she’s ready for him, even if it takes years.

His warmhearted, yearning vocals are loyal and doting. He wants the best for her and would like to see her happy. Seeing her blazing eyes when she finds out he’s done well on a test, is a sight he wouldn’t trade with anything. No one sees the joy in her, except him. Even her boyfriends are puzzled by her quietness. However, he’s privy to her secrets and hopes.

The attentive arrangement is protective and thoughtful, guarding from potential threats and wanting from afar. With a couple notes, it details their history and the intimacy between them.

The touching “She Will Be Loved” takes unrequited love genre out of its usual moping and concentrates on the importance of the friendship.
